Six strong arguments for aluminium wheels

Major weight savings
Aluminium wheels are about 40% lighter than steel wheels. For a standard size truck with trailer, the total weight can be reduced by an average of approximately 400–500 kg, permitting a corresponding increase in payload, reduced fuel consumption or combination of the two.

Appearance
Naturally, appearance is a matter of taste, although most people consider that aluminium wheels improve a vehicle's appearance and value. We can now offer three qualities: diamond, polished and painted wheels.

High comfort
An aluminium wheel is turned on a lathe and is therefore rounder and runs smoother than a steel wheel. This means improved comfort and reduced vibrations. Furthermore, the tyre life is extended due to a more uniform wear (of the tyre).

Efficient heat dissipation
Aluminium has better heat dissipation capability than steel. Heat from the brakes is ventilated more efficiently, giving significantly reduced brake and tyre wear and increased retreading ability.

Long lifetime
Tests show that the lifetime of aluminium wheels clearly exceeds that of steel wheels. Aluminium wheels also have higher durability towards certain types of mechanical wear.
